Hello mothur users!

We are happy to announce the release of mothur v.1.45.0 m/mothur/mothur/releases> Over the past year we=E2=80=99ve incorporated a =
number of little tweaks to mothur to make it run better by resolving some b=
ugs and improving the overall usability. You can learn more about those upd=
ates and get the version appropriate for your operating system at that link=
.=20

A couple of other items to be aware of. First, as I mentioned in an earlie=
r email, we=E2=80=99ve also posted new versions of the RDP org/wiki/rdp_reference_files/> and SILVA erence_files/> reference files for classifying and aligning your sequences.=
Second, I continue to post videos to YouTube under the Riffomonas channel =
During the fall=
and winter, I worked through the development of a paper looking at the pro=
pensity to split genomes into separate bins by using ASVs and fine-scale OT=
Us. Since submitting that paper, I=E2=80=99ve moved on to talking about dat=
a visualization using R. I think you=E2=80=99ll get a lot out of these if y=
ou are learning R and are trying to find resources to help hone and expand =
your skills. Finally, I=E2=80=99ll be hosting a 3-day mothur workshop s://mothur.org/wiki/workshops/> in May that you or your fiends might be int=
erested in if you would like to get a stronger foundation on the theory beh=
ind and the use of mothur.

Enjoy the new release and stay safe!

Pat
