New York Perl Mongers,
We have now opened registration for the second New York City Perl Hackathon, to be held at Bloomberg on Saturday, May 2.
http://www.meetup.com/The-New-York-Perl-Meetup-Group/events/221319780/
As is the case nowadays for most Meetup-based events held at business venues, you will have to register with your first name and last name. A few days before Hackathon Day, we will provide the venue with a list of registrants for use by their security desk. On Hackathon Day, bring a photo ID for presentation at the security desk. You will have your photo taken for your access badge. (If you've attended meetups at Bloomberg before, they won't have to take your photo but will simply print out a new badge.)
As was the case with our first hackathon in 2013, we encourage you to:
(1) Prepare in advance for the Hackathon: https://github.com/nyperlmongers/nyperlhackathon2015/wiki/Getting-Ready-for-the-Hackathon.
(2) At https://github.com/nyperlmongers/nyperlhackathon2015/wiki/Projects,
(a) Submit a project to be worked on at the Hackathon;
and/or
(b) Sign up to work on a project someone else has submitted for the Hackathon.
For hints at wiki formatting of a project submission, see https://github.com/nyperlmongers/nyperlhackathon2015/wiki/POD-Skeleton-for-New-York-Perl-Hackathon-Projects.
Thank you very much. Jim Keenan
