Dear Ruben Safir,
The Free Software Foundation (FSF) is going to have a booth at [HOPE][1] (July 12--14, 2024) in Queens, NY, this year.
[1]: https://hope.net/
Would you or someone you know be interested in helping us run the FSF booth at the venue? Doing so would involve doing face-to-face advocacy on behalf of free software, soliciting and accepting donations for the FSF, and selling FSF merchandise -- all to raise the awareness and funds that power our campaigns.
If you or a friend could help us, please let us know by replying to this email by Friday, July 5.
The shifts we need covered are:
* **Day 1** - July 12, Friday
* 09:00 - 10:00 - set up * 10:00 - 18:00 - exhibit * 18:00 - 00:00 - exhibit
* **Day 2** - July 13, Saturday
* 10:00 - 18:00 - exhibit * 18:00 - 00:00 - exhibit * **Day 3** - July 14, Sunday
* 10:00 - 17:00 - exhibit * 17:00 - 18:00 - pack up
If you can help, please reply with an answer to the following questions:
* What is the best phone number to reach you?
* Is it OK to share your contact information with the other volunteers or, possibly, the organizers?
* Which of the shifts above would you be willing and able to take?
* Will you need the FSF to get you an exhibit hall pass, or will you already have a conference pass from some other source?
Please let us know if you would be able and willing to volunteer your time. Conference booths are one of the most important ways we introduce new people to free software, GNU, and the FSF! They also raise funds that help fuel our work for the rest of the year and beyond.
And thank you for supporting the FSF!
Sincerely,
Jeanne Rasata Membership Coordinator
