Dear Ruben Safir,

We have exciting news: we found a venue we think will be *great* for
[LibrePlanet][1]: the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) at 550
Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115, USA and we *also* have a new date!

**LibrePlanet: Cultivating Community, will be held at the WIT on May 4
and 5, 2024.**

Yes, May is indeed an unusual month for LibrePlanet, as the conference
typically happens in March. However, we believe the date change will
serve us well. There are already many free software events going on in
March 2024, which is also around spring break; and that often stands
in the way of our wish to bring more students to our events. Besides,
Boston has always been a challenging city to find a location within a
reasonable budget.

We really hope you can make it! The WIT is home to a School of
Computing and Data Science, a School of Architecture & Design, a
School of Engineering, a School of Management, and a School of
Sciences & Humanities. We look forward to having LibrePlanet at
this place of learning and are sure that the conference will
benefit from it.

attendee or speaker? Will you be visiting and want to room with
like-minded individuals? The [accommodations section][4] on the

### Support LibrePlanet by becoming an exhibitor or sponsor

LibrePlanet is organized by the FSF, a 501(c)(3) charity. The
conference is made possible thanks to charitable [sponsors and
exhibitors][5] who want to be at the juncture of ethical technology, a
vibrant community, and the future generation of free software
specialists. Thanks to conference sponsors, we can offer free
admission to students, a welcoming event space, social activities, and
refreshments for attendees. Support from generous sponsors also
enables LibrePlanet to run on free software infrastructure, including
livestreaming and session recordings. There's still time to apply to
become a sponsor. To do so, follow the instructions on
.

Early bird pricing for exhibitors is happening now, and will be
available until March 20, 2024. Nonprofits and individual projects are
eligible for a discounted exhibitors price. Learn more in our

We're excited about next year's LibrePlanet. We have already announced
that video creator [David Wilson will keynote LibrePlanet 2024][7],
and we plan to have another keynote announcement for you very
soon. Additionally, we intend to organize a pre-conference workshop
series for you this spring. Stay tuned to learn more. Meanwhile, we
encourage you to watch some [videos from last year's conference][8],
and please make sure that you're [registered][2] for the
conference. Don't forget that members from the associate level,
including students, get [gratis entry to the conference][9].

typically happens in March.

Dear Ruben Safir,

We have exciting news: we found a venue we think will be great for
LibrePlanet: the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) at 550
Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115, USA and we also have a new date!

LibrePlanet: Cultivating Community, will be held at the WIT on May 4
and 5, 2024.

Yes, May is indeed an unusual month for LibrePlanet, as the conference
typically happens in March. However, we believe the date change will
serve us well. There are already many free software events going on in
March 2024, which is also around spring break; and that often stands
in the way of our wish to bring more students to our events. Besides,
