tful workshop on August 16th at 5:30pm. The workshop, "Teaching Transformed=
: AI and Computational Thinking for Modern Instructors," promises to be an =
enriching experience that explores the integration of AI and computational =
thinking in education. Title: Teaching Transformed: AI and Computational Th=
inking for Modern Instructors Overview: With advances in generative AI, the=
set of tools available to your students has greatly expanded. Can computat=
ional tools find a place in your classroom as well? Jump-start your explora=
tion of the implications of new technology for curriculum design and assess=
ment. Demystify the technology behind generative AI in order to ground the =
conversation and discover how new tools create new opportunities for educat=
ors and students. Speaker Bio: John McNally received his B.S. in physics an=
d M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Illinois at Ur=
bana-Champaign. Before joining Wolfram Research, he taught mathematics and =
physics for K-12 students, where he strove to make concepts from university=
courses and research accessible to a wider audience. While teaching, John =
became interested in new ways for students to learn the future skill of com=
putational thinking. He now works with the Academic Innovation Support team=
to help educators implement curricula of the future. Aside from education,=
he maintains an avid hobbyist's interest in astronomy, history and film. I=
