I agree, but I don't know how to control rules for 587? How do I tell it to do something only on port 587?
I am not sure why you are saying that clients on port 25 must authenticate. Port 25 should be recieving mail for local users from anywhere in the universe? Perhaps you mean that clients submitting outgoing email must authenticate on Port 25? Ideally, I wouldn't have any mail submitted on 25 accept for local deliveries.
