BioRob2022 is a joint effort of the two = IEEE Societies of Robotics and Automation =E2=80=93 RAS =E2=80=93 and Engin= eering in Medicine and Biology =E2=80=93 EMBS. The conference covers both t= heoretical and experimental challenges posed by the application of robotics= and mechatronics in medicine and biology. BioRob2022 is a jo= int effort of the two IEEE Societies of Robotics and Automation – RA= S – and Engineering in Medicine and Biology – EMBS. The confe= rence covers both theoretical and experimental challenges posed by the appl= ication of robotics and mechatronics in medicine and biology. The primary f= ocus of Biorobotics is to analyze biological systems from a “biomech= atronic” point of view, trying to understand the scientific and engi= neering principles underlying their extraordinary performance. BioRob2022 is a jo= int effort of the two IEEE Societies of Robotics and Automation – RA= S – and Engineering in Medicine and Biology – EMBS. The confe= rence covers both theoretical and experimental challenges posed by the appl= ication of robotics and mechatronics in medicine and biology. The primary f= ocus of Biorobotics is to analyze biological systems from a “biomech= atronic” point of view, trying to understand the scientific and engi= neering principles underlying their extraordinary performance. This profoun= d understanding of how biological systems work, behave and interact can be = used for two main objectives: to guide the design and fabrication of novel,= high performance bio-inspired machines and systems for many different appl= ications; and to develop novel nano-, micro-, and macro-devices that can ac= t upon, substitute parts of, and assist human beings in prevention, diagnos= is, surgery, prosthetics, rehabilitation and personal

Prospective author= s are invited to submit high-quality papers presenting original results. Th= e technical program will consist of plenary sessions, contributed paper ses= sions, workshops and tutorials, contributed posters.
