I am glad you emailed me. Because I want to tell you person to person
that I don't care about your tolerance for what you find obnoxious or
not.
It is pretty clear to me, just on your first sentence that you are not
ready of any kind of discourse that doesn't genuflect to your personal
standards for discourse.
I just want to tell you right off the bat, I don't care.
Matts position on these matters are dispicable and the flasehoods
he perpetuates play themselves out in blood on the streets of
NYC, and as I wrote the first time, I dare him or you to come
to East Harlem and stand in our pharmacy even for two weeks before you
are not physically assualted.
It is not my business to present myself as happy when this sort of new
racism is being respent to the public as rational science. It is not
rational. It is dangerous.

I don't need to be told by some student what constitutes public safety,
who has lived his entire life without ever getting stomped on in the
ghetto, held up with tec9's or threatened for being white and riding the

You don't care anyway. That is obvious. Nobody who actually reads my
email would think it is uncivil. What you don't like is being told and
pouring a false narritve about racism and policing into the real issue
with survailence is UNACCEPTABLE, DANGEROUS and throws gasoline into
what is now a hostile environment.
If you want to push, expect to be pushed back.
Stick to what you know, which is not policing in high crime areas.
It is not safe right now in the streets of NYC. Matts disinformation
and mixing topics is [art of the problem and needs to be directly
addressed.
