SUBJECT | Subject: [Hangout - NYLXS] gdbm-1.19 released [stable]
|
Hello,
This is to inform you that the version 1.19 of GDBM is available for download. See below for a list of important changes.
Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature[*]: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.19.tar.gz http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.19.tar.gz.sig
Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth: https://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html
Here are the MD5 and SHA1 checksums:
aeb29c6a90350a4c959cd1df38cd0a7e gdbm-1.19.tar.gz 2b6cc7453341904432b457fb8a2450e5f2aaf331 gdbm-1.19.tar.gz
[*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this:
gpg --verify gdbm-1.19.tar.gz.sig
If that command fails because you don't have the required public key, then run this command to import it:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 3602B07F55D0C732
and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command.
Noteworthy changes in this release:
* Pre-read the memory mapped regions on systems that support it.
This speeds up operations on big databases.
* gdbmtool: tagged initialization of structured data
Initializers for structured data can be given in tagged form, e.g.:
store somekey { status=2, id={a,u,x}, name="foo" }
* Bugfixes:
** Preserve locking type during database reorganization
Best regards, Sergey
