Hi.
I'm currently considering building a somewhat budget conscious
replacement for my 12 yr old AMD Athlon/Radeon minitower system.
It's been a long time since I've looked into such things and could use
some suggestions:
- debating between an i5 (10400) based system or it's ryzen5 equivalent
- which motherboard manufacturer is most compatible with linux these days?
- nvidia or radeon for GPU ?
- good RELIABLE 2-4 TB SATA HDD ?
( at the same time I MUST replace a 9yr old win7 laptop and everything
I'm seeing is garbage, or very expense almost garbage ... )
Sorry to bother you, but I've lost access to most of my tech contacts
due in one way or another to covid ...
