Well said. China has never played fair- with anyone, including its own people. It manipulates it’s currency, encourages infanticide, boldly lies to everyone and wants global control. This isn’t new- Been going on centuries.
As a nation EVERY sitting president since Reagan has loosened economic control measures & increased globalism. We outsource jobs & products. So now we have an over educated population with nothing to do & no money to spend. Brilliant. It made big business rich though.
In fairness I’m not touting a socialist economy. I’ve seen too many family members ‘using the system’. I believe a socialist America would be a very lazy America. I personally don’t won’t to work so I can help pay for a slacker. I’m totally for appropriate social services, helping the indigent change their situation, caring for the disabled and making sure our elderly don’t die in the gutter. Schools should be the best in the world!
Our healthcare - I believe is the best in the world. Hell, Mick Jagger had his heart surgery at NYU. Of course he paid cash. I truly don’t know how to fix healthcare. Making it universal would make us like Western Europe. It’s a great idea to socialize medicine but the cost is massive. Our standard of living would shift massively- the middle class I mean. Taxes would push 60%. Again do I work like a crazy person to rent a modest apartment so someone else can work less for the same lifestyle. Hmmm.
