It is like any other reasonable enterprise. You don't need to have a sworn oath of loyalty to participate in the GNU project and you are never prosecuted for thought crimes....
Something the peashooters here are insisting on. Furthermore, they have this grand idea that they will attack social justice causes outside the purview of GNUs contract with its userbase, with such activities as affirmative action, and using GNUs PR mechanisms... which is COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE.
