I am not sure if that "right" message to send. Me not understanding English rhymes and I would not use that. Maybe it is meant to be funny, I don't get it.
My impression is that Samuel does understand that Richard Stallman was mischaracterized and we were now in good conversation about the real issue at hand, people who could get offended by jokes.
But we also speak of GNU project
Is it worth to defame, slander and do illegal acts for the sake of those who are anyway over-reacting in their lives?
The real question is maybe: was there real malice? Was there any real intention to cause evil and offend somebody with jokes?
I don't think so.
And I don't think that neither jokes nor the mischaracterization of RMS's statements in the MIT are reasons to cause unrest and disturbance in the GNU and FSF.
None of them are reasonable enough to tell how few jokes have caused harm to "core values" of GNU community. _______________________________________________ Hangout mailing list Hangout-at-nylxs.com http://lists.mrbrklyn.com/mailman/listinfo/hangout
