What is the opportunity?

Provide technical, operational support, and development for the trading platform

What will you do?

Develop and implement software tools to support all components of trading platform, including design, implementation and testing
Design systematic process to monitor critical factors, including data feeds and database connectivity
Improve and optimize existing analytical capabilities, methodologies and business processes
Gather requirements and participate in the implementation of other projects
Ensure that trade and positon information is transmitted properly to custodians, regulatory authorities, accounting professionals, risk management professionals, and other groups/ organizations that require such data in compliance with firm policy
Maintain data quality, integrity and accuracy
Develop and implement tools to support risk management activities
Maintain and improve operational framework
Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities, including those identified in the Quant Trading Desk Volcker Requirements Chart
Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis

What do you need to succeed?

Technical programming skills, including high level programming languages such as C/C++/C#, Java or scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Matlab
Knowledge of well-established operation systems such as Unix, Linux, Windows
Familiarity with debugging tools, experience with performance optimization, etc
Quantitative and financial analytics skills, including experience with data analysis, preferred
Database experience and GUI development experience, preferred

by all means send away, but I do not need baby sitting to find a job, FWIW, regardless of what NYS thinks of the unemployeed. We are not all lazy and 400 a week doesn't even pay my rent.

Computer Jobs are better.

Just a quick estimate and I have put out over 90 resumes since May 1st for Pharmacy positions.... along. And that is very estimate from looking at my email sent folder

Please send Computer Programming positions, anything having to do with Linux or Unix
