Eyebeam presents Refiguring the Future: an
exhibition and conference produced in collaboration with Hunter College
Art Galleries.

From the organizers:

REFIGURING THE FUTURE: EXHIBITION
February 8-March 31
205 Hudson Gallery, Hunter College Art Galleries

The exhibition will debut 11 new works alongside re-presented immersive
works by 18 feminist, queer, decolonial, anti-racist, and anti-ableist
artists concerned with our technological and political moment. The
Refiguring the Future exhibition is curated by REFRESH members Heather
Dewey-Hagborg and Dorothy R. Santos.

REFIGURING THE FUTURE: CONFERENCE
February 9 & 10
Day 1: Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, Day 2: Knockdown Center

The Refiguring the Future conference convenes artists, educators,
writers, and cultural strategists to envision a shared liberatory future
by providing us with collective imaginings that move beyond and critique
oppressive systems to offer alternative possibilities. Through keynotes,
panel discussions, performances, screenings, and community-engaged
programs, the conference will grapple with marginalizing states of
technology by propelling us to a future in becoming.

The two-day conference is co-organized by Eyebeam/REFRESH Curatorial and
Engagement Fellow, Lola Martinez, and REFRESH collective member Maandeeq
Mohamed.

rights in your community, we invite you to consider joining the Alliance
to seek support from the network
while raising your voice. Together, we're building a movement to promote
freedom of expression, privacy, security, creativity and access to
knowledge.
