Upcoming Changes to OASys

Dear OASys User:
You are receiving this reminder because our records indicate that you have an existing Online Application System (OASys 1.0) account with the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS). We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the new OASys 2.0 on January 28, 2019. This new system will make it easier than ever to apply for upcoming Civil Service exams, keep apprised on the status of completed exams, and so much more.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE LAUNCH OF OASys 2.0
Use of OASys 1.0 will continue in a limited capacity until May 2019. Please retain your OASys 1.0 log-in credentials as they will be separate from your OASys 2.0 log-in credentials. If you applied for one or more exam(s) on or before January 26, 2019, and the eligible list(s) have not yet been established you must access these exams in OASys 1.0 by clicking here. You may also copy and paste the following URL into your internet browser: https://a856-eeexams.nyc.gov/OLEE/oasys/index.aspx
The first application period in OASys 2.0 will begin on January 30, 2019, and all exams that you wish to apply for thereafter will only be available through OASys 2.0.
To login to OASys 2.0 for the first time, you must use your current OASys 1.0 username, password, and email address linked to your OASys 1.0 account (i.e., the email address linked to where this notification was received). You will then be directed to provide updates to your profile and security questions.
If you do not recall or have access to your OASys 1.0 email in order to reset your password in OASys 2.0 on the launch date, email us at OASys-at-dcas.nyc.gov or call us at (212) 386-1708 Monday - Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. Please provide your full name, OASys 1.0 user ID, and/or last 4-digits of your SSN. We will respond to all requests on a first come, first served basis.
BENEFITS OF OASys 2.0
Developed with your feedback in mind and provides you with new features such as:
- Comprehensive profile management (e.g., update contact information at any time)
- Enhanced password recovery features (e.g., reset password via email or security questions)
- Ability to store and re-use education and experience details
- Electronic submission of affirmation statements
- Civil Service examination dashboards, which will include information about exams you have applied for and taken (e.g., payment status and test results) ranging from September 2009 to present, and the status of your active eligible lists
