Hello Please end the MTA's destructive proposal to destory the Kings Highway community with its proposed SBS B82 exclussive lanes on Kings Highway between McDonald Avenue and Ocean Avenue. These streets are not wide enough, even if you remove the parking, to handle these double buses. It only makes sense for that bus line to go through Avenue P, if it should exist at all. The connection to the Brighton Line subway would be exactly half a city block, to the Brighton Line and is not a problem for walking at all. The Culver has an Avenue P station. The Sea-Beach connection is absolutely redundant not necessary for an express service that connects Canarsie to Coney Island because all the significant destinations are covered by the F,B, and Q train. The N train station should be left alone with it's local use profile. This was how the grid was DESIGNED to work when Kings Highway was widened in the 1920s. It was designed to use Avenue P as a bypass for the Kings Highway Brighton line area, which was known as South Greenfield, because of its smalltown like grid, and run around it through Avenue P. The size and width of Avenue P makes no sense accept as it was designed to connect to the broader Kings Highway Roadway starting at Ocean Avenue and going East, a throughway which is artifiically and currently blocked. We need urgent and immediate action on this matter to protect the community. This is not an issue to hand off to a junion staff member in order to do outreach.
