New York City police officers put their lives on the line each day to
protect us and our fellow New Yorkers from harm. As a City, we mourn the
loss of Officer Familia of the 46th Precinct. Every day, thousands of
NYPD officers leave their families, put on their uniforms, and head out
to the streets to serve the people of this great City, not knowing if
they will come home at night.
In honor of our men and women in blue, in memory of our fallen officer,
let's all take an extr... See More

The traffic in Coney Island after last nights fireworks was chaotic and
frustrating. I personally tried to head into Coney Island but turned
back when I saw that the congestion was reaching as far back as Brighton
Beach Avenue.
With all of the high rise buildings nearby and more the significant
population of seniors in the affected areas, this has become a matter of
life or death. First responders fighting congestion can lose valuable
minutes on the way to an emergency.
Between the amphitheater, MCU Park, and all of the amusements in Coney
Island, we NEED a more reliable transit system. Southern Brooklyn should
have ferry service to open up the waterway and offer an additional way
for visitors and residents to get in and out of the neighborhood.

Kathy Kupfer
Kathy Kupfer The whole city has become very congested. Where there was a
one or two family house, now comes a building of condos. Don't know how
to make the situation better, but many streets are almost impossible to
drive down.

Amber Adler It's horrible! They are knocking down a 4 story parking
garage and making a Target, with no parking lot. Plus it's going to
bring more people to our nice little neighborly nook.

Jeff Alexander Fact is, Brooklyn has way too many people. There will
never ever again be a good quality of life here. And the uniqueness,
what made Brooklyn Brooklyn, is going, going, g............ The
adjustments of which you speak are urgent, as you state, a necessity, &
a matter of life & death. It is wonderful that you re cognizant of the
necessity of modifications, have plans, & are on the job.

Seabeach Line, both directions. The right of way still exists. The MTA
needs to lay tracks, signals and such.

Francine Gail Schreck
Francine Gail Schreck I was there last night. We waited for a bus (B68)
for 1/2hr. before it came that was going to Brighten Beach Ave From Ave
X. coming home the same thing. I think that when an area is sponsoring
an event there should be extra busses on those lines if they are passing
through the event area. The board walk is still messed up.

Tommy Stern
Tommy Stern I don't know the solution but I was exactly where the
problem was and thought the police did a good job (even if they told me
to move my car) in controlling the situation in a very rare occurrence.
I noticed they used the center lane for emergency vehicles.
Chaim, if my eye witness account can be helpful in having things go
smoother next time let me know and we could talk.

Hesh Follman It was the same in LIC /Williamsburg.
The current police chief is a panderer to the liberal left and the
anarchist mayor. He didn't even stick up for his own rank and file. A
modern day joan of arc...
The policing and traffic control at major city events has been terrible
thanks to the mayor and his staff

Ruben Safir The first thing that needs to be done is a massive firing at
the MTA and to cut back on their funding until they can figure out how
to prevent small power outages from shutting down the Atlantic Avenue
complex. Never give then any more money.
