About the bizarre news item of the other day, I said (othernet):

I don't know, but I think we owe them retrospective thanks for putting a
maraschino cherry on yesterday's sundae of news craziness.
In other recent news (all in a single day!):
1. In an obviously sad attempt to audition for Bond villain, Eric Trump
turns out to have stolen from his kids' cancer charity to fund his
business.
2. A bunch of major law firms have refused to represent His Orangeness
concerning the Russia scandal, for the simple reason that they also
represent banks that have been served subpeonas concerning Trump and
money-laundering, as Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe gets going.
3. Sessions offered to resign as AG. Trump was angry at him for being
unable to block the Russia investigation because of, y'know, ethics
rules and having been caught lying during his confirmation hearings (and
then a second time in his amended testimony after that), and facing
probable upcoming criminal prosecution. Trump's USPTO Director Michelle
Lee resigned. Trump continues to have trouble filling posts for the
simple reason that people don't wish to board a ship taking on water so
badly.
4. Turns out, Trump Winery held a banquet (a 'Russian Gala') honoring
Ambassador Kislyak. Which I'm sure is just because he's a swell fella.
5. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats confirmed that Trump
asked him to kill the Russia investigation.
All of that came out just in a single day, yesterday.
As I have said before, I seriously do _not_ want this bunch of clowns to
resign or get removed from office. What would we do for entertainment?
