Forwarding this
I’m not sure if you’re still looking for work or even if this project is
a fit for you, but I need a web developer who is skilled in PHP and
PayPal integration for a client project that is a marketplace, similar
to Amazon and eBay where the client makes a commission on every
financial transaction on the site. It turns out that the dev team we
hired isn't capable of taking it over the finish line and I need to find
someone else.
There are other things in the site that need tweaking and adjusting (see
below), and the client is insisting on the immediate resolution of them
so that he can launch even while other things are getting adjusted and
enhanced. He wants someone local to NYC and we’ve spoken with 25
developers. None of them want the job, primarily because it’s complex,
secondarily because there are already several coding styles here from
the previous dev team that may need to be cleaned up.
Is this something for you, or if not, do you know anyone who might be a
good fit?
Getting the shopping cart to calculate all money, taxes, and VAT,
100% accurately and sending accurate dollar amounts to PayPal checkout
when the buyer makes a purchase from a single seller or multiple sellers
in a single transaction.
Ensuring that --- bills the seller though the PayPal Shared Billing
Agreement immediately after an item sells.
Ensuring that --- account is crediting the seller though the PayPal
Shared Billing Agreement immediately after the seller refunds a buyer on
any items.
Making sure that the shipping section works (shipping calculations
especially), including: that the --- admin can set a markup on the
shipping costs coming from the API, that the buyer only sees the mark-up
price, that the seller sees the actual shipping price plus the fee they
are charged per label, that --- gets that markup on all shipping labels
that are purchased from the site, and that the site can actually
generate and print shipping labels.
That the system notices if a seller is US-based and makes them fill
out the US Tax table, or if they are not US-based they need to be told
to either fill out their VAT % or check a box that says their item is
VAT Exempt.
Let me know,
