FWIW, I'm an enthusiastic fan of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and have been for about a decade and a half.
Author Jeff Robbins keeps talking about Ali being plagued by 'some on the left', a phrase that he uses verbatim three times, yet he doesn't name even a single one of these shadowy personages.
Gosh, innuendo much, Mr. Robbins?
I have no idea who's correct in her war of words with CAIR. I actually don't think it particularly matters. If they're just doing public relations, that's protected First Amendment speech, and violates no law. If they're taking illegal actions like sending support to Hamas as some alleged back a decade ago, then prosecution should settle the matter. (Federal prosecutors made that charge in 2007 but filed no charges at all, so evidently they had no case.)
I see that this article, appearing in 'observer.com' -- that's the rag owned by Trump's son-in-law, right? -- refers to this abortive no-action action by Federal prosecutors but fails to mention that this was nine years ago and that the Feds decided to do absolutely nothing.
