You really _have_ drunk, and gotten drunk on, the Breitbart Kool-Aid,
haven't you? Forgotten entirely what a free and democratic society
looks like, it appears. I guess, it's more important that the trains
run on time?
Once again, I have to remid you of the concept of 'epistemic closure'
invented by libertarian blogger and commentator Julian Sanchez
(http://www.juliansanchez.com/2010/03/26/frum-cocktail-parties-and-the-threat-of-doubt/)
in reference to the exiling of David Frum and Andrew Sullivan from
conservative political institutions for insufficient fanaticism: If
you've decided to discount the entire mainstream press and pronounce it
in need of 'control', you've pretty nearly sealed yourself off from
undesired contrary information and gone full RT junkie.
The press is doing its job of trying to cover the news in an
unprecedentedly hostile Executive Branch environment in which the White
House spews an endless series of clumsy lies and conceals information at
every opportunity.
Meanwhile, the petulant orange manchild has set out to define the free
press as the nation's enemy because he cannot stand the notion that
people are _allowed_ to criticise anything he does.
I continue to wish him well, but my idea of 'well' has evolved just a
bit. The only way this ends well is for the Predator-in-Chief to step
down and go back to being a slumlord, and let the nation have Torquemada
Pence, instead.
Torquemada has already been making most of the _substantive_ decisions,
as witness the high number of Christian Dominionist lunatics who've been
tapped for the Administration
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology) -- people who want to
force the United States to become an officially anti-modernity Christian
theocracy and who wish to eradicate the 1st Amendment Establishment
Clause (popularly called 'separation of church and state'). Hard-right
Christian supremacists, in other words -- people who think _The
Handmaid's Tale_ isn't dystopian fiction but rather a pretty good plan.
Dominionists (who call themselves the 'New Apostolic Reformation'
movement) talk about '7 Mountains' theology, that there are seven
areas of power that must be wrenched away from Satan (i.e., anyone who
is in any way not one of them) and put under theocratic Christian
control: business, government, media, arts/entertainment, education,
family, and religion.
Stephen Bannon and Kellyanne Conway are both members of Council For
National Policy, a secretive Dominionists organization -- founded in
1981 by Tim LaHaye, author of the Left Behind book series and the head
of the Moral Majority organization -- and Conway is on its executive
committee. And global village idiot Rick Perry has always been one.
The Dominionists backed Cruz until his campaign tanked, and
then got behind Trump.
Torquemada Pence describes himself as a 'born-again, evangelical
Catholic', and has tended in campaigning to describe himself as
'Christian, conservative, Republican—in that order'. Pence is one of
the leaders of the Dominionist organization National Day of Prayer Task
Force, and is a frequent speaker at the Mississippi-based Dominionist
group American Renewal Project, along with Cruz and Huckabee.
In supporting these people, Ruben, you have directly supported and
helped put into power your own -- and the Jewish people's, and your
country's -- enemies.
And yet, I really think it would be a huge step forward for the
superannuated manchild to resign and storm back to Trump Tower, and
leave us to deal with Torquemada. Because the former guy is not going
to make it for four years of bouncing off walls and frontally attacking
all perceived critics, and I'm not sure the country will, either.

Remind me: What's the value in spending tens of billions of dollars
building some sort of southern wall when well over 50% of the people who
are in the USA illegally arrived lawfully (e.g., on tourist visas) and
merely overstayed? You ignored that question last time.
This really is the pons asinorum of modern politics. If you'll believe
_that_ con (let alone the 'Mexico will pay for it' bullshit), you'll
believe anything.
