I care about the fact that a huge number of people showed up on a cold
Washington day to voice their rejection of the Predator-in-Chief,
because that's an excellent start for the first day of his reign of
error.
To elaborate really briefly on the phrase 'Predator-in-Chief', I have to
struggle to _remember_ that 27.2% of my fellow qualifed voters[1] voted
for someone who's not only a confessed sexual assault criminal, but who
actually _bragged_ about doing so -- not merely a moral degenerate and
criminal but someone who's proud of it.
That's what those half-million women were thinking about, and I'm right
there with them in spirit.

The D.C. police has as a key part of its _job_ estimating accurately the
size of protests, so they can, y'know, police.
Anyway, sure, let's look at the _NY Times_. Ah: Front page flatly states
that Trump and his Press Secretary Sean Spicer's assertions about
inaugural crowd size are 'false', and that Trump 'falsely hits media on
turnout and intelligence rift'.
Next front page item: 'Crowd Scientists Say Women’s March in Washington
Had 3 Times More People Than Trump’s Inauguration'
OK, CNN: Story 'Comparing Donald Trump and Barack Obama's inaugural
crowd sizes' doesn't compare the inauguration crowd to the women's march
that followed, but rather to Obama's first inauguration: '[T]he
side-by-side images of Friday's ceremony alongside the 2009 inauguration
of President Barack Obama show a significantly smaller crowd on the
National Mall for Trump than for Obama. There is empty ground exposed in
the Trump photos. The same spots were almost entirely covered eight
years ago, when estimates at the time suggested 1.8 million people
attended the inauguration.'
There's a comparative photo, one that is damning.
Oh, and mustn't forget my very favorite bit: Courtesy of Kellyanne
Conway today -- who will now forever be known as Baghdad Kelly -- on
'Meet the Press', the world has its first bit of _official_ Newspeak
from the administration: 'alternative facts'.
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, said the White
House press secretary gave "alternative facts" when he inaccurately
described the inauguration crowd as "the largest ever" during his first
appearance before the press this weekend.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer gathered the press to deliver a
five-minute statement Saturday in which he issued multiple falsehoods,
declaring erroneously the number of people who used the D.C. metro on
Friday, that there was a change in security measures this year and that
"this was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period,
both in person and around the globe."

Must say, just about the _only_ joy in watching this parade of liars,
incompetents, and thieves will be watching the short-fingered vulgarian
lose his cool over and over until he strokes out and lands us with
Torquemada Pence -- but I guess I have to find pleasure where I can.
