medical engineering. Accomplishments may be technological or theoretical a=

ofessional Career Achievement Award For outstanding contributions advancing=
Biomedical Engineering and its professional practices as a practicing biom=
edical engineer working in industry, government or other applied areas rela=
ted to biomedical engineering. Accomplishments include, but are limited to,=
technological advances, improvements in processes, or development of new p=
roducts or procedures, and need not have preceded the award date by any spe=

2017 EMBS Call for Award Nominations

EMBS sponsors Awards of member recognition for technical and
professional excellence, service to the society, local activities,
publications and student papers. Nominations for these awards are
accepted annually in January, Award Recipients are announced in April
and the awards are presented at the Society's [1]Annual International
Conference.
Nominations and Selection are made according to the EMBS Awards
Nomination and Selection Procedure.

The following Awards are presented on an annual basis:

[2]Academic Career Achievement Award

For outstanding contribution and achievement in the field of Biomedical
Engineering as an educator, researcher, developer, or administrator who
has had a distinguished career of twenty years or more in the field of
biomedical engineering. Accomplishments may be technological or
theoretical and need not have preceded the award date by any specific
period of time.

[3]Professional Career Achievement Award

For outstanding contributions advancing Biomedical Engineering and its
professional practices as a practicing biomedical engineer working in

EMBS sponsors Awards of member recognition for technical and

publications and student papers. Nominations for these awards are
