Yeah but those additional reps and senators would be conservatives rather than Libs, since Cal does have patriotic Americans outside of LA and Burp Francisco. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

_And_, I do believe, a power-up in number of House of Representives members from 55 to 59 -- because of the way the Apportionment Act of 1911 (part of the upthread explantion you ignored) rounds _up_ all fractional House entitlements for each state, after each decennial census. This is one of the ways the current system puts a thumb on the scales in favor of less-populated ('smaller') states. You'd have grasped this if you'd bothered even a little to read the text I forwarded -- but of course you didn't.
So, _please do_ push through Congress an act dividing California into five states, and giving us a huge political advantage in both the Senate and the House. That would be really, really nice of you.
