Gee, I thought you were expressing a "I will do EVERYTHING I can to
resist Islam, and counter its poisonous affect on society at large"
view, citing as your reason your assertion that "Islam is a religion of
violence and death", which view you substantiated by citing a bunch of
PBS Frontline URLs -- which citation is pretty hilarious coming from
someone simultaneously decrying "the Death of PBS", by the way --
variously documenting al-Qaeda-linked killings in several places, plus
one exploring the ibn Saud / Wahhabi theocracy-oligarchy.
Going personally on a war-footing against all the Muslims in the world
because of a small lot of Wahhabi fanatics makes exactly as little sense
as 'resisting' the _other_ well-known Middle-Eastern death cult because
of examples of murderous Christians.
So, in the name of equal time, I've been calling your attention to a
bunch of Christian murderous thugs. Because, hey, there are plenty of
examples that can be cited of Christianity as a religion of violence and
death. Timothy McVeigh would certainly qualify -- but let me also cite
another whose language I literally speak: Anders Behring Breivik.
Breivik didn't quite reach McVeigh's high-water mark of 168 victims, but
it wasn't for lack of trying: first eight people killed by his bomb
outside a main government building in Oslo, and then 69 on Utøya (means
'out island' in Norsk). Breivik gets style points for the latter
murders being done very personally and with individual attention, and
about half of them being helpless children.
Just in case there were danger of anyone, y'know, liking Breivik, he has
said things in court like 'Jeg har kjempet for nasjonalsosialismen i 25
år, og kommer til å kjempe for den i min død'. ('I have fought for
National Socialism for 25 years, and I will fight for it to the death').
But, like mant neo-Nazis before him, Breivik has made it very clear in
various places he's spoken, including in his rambling 1,500 page
manifesto (which is in English, oddly) that he did it for Christianity,
and regrets only that he hadn't managed to off more innocents, ad
maiorem Dei gloriam.
Quoting the manifesto:
At the age of 15 I chose to be baptised and confirmed in the
Norwegian State Church. I consider myself to be 100 percent Christian.
[..]
Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an
excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic.
However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe.
Now, a variety of Christian spokescritters hastened to say that Breivik
in no way spoke for what _they_ understood to underlie Christianity, and
that they considered his murder of innocents unspeakable. Of course,
almost all the Muslims of the world would say, and frequently have said,
that violence and death visited on innocents by al-Qaeda franchises and
Wahhabi thugs is unspeakable.
I'm sure you know that, but blowing off airheaded ideological blasts
makes you feel better and you're living in a post-factual Breitbart /
Infowars world, so why not? It's not like you need anyone to think
you're sane in the near term, so enjoy.
> but if they start up the incoquesion again, let me know.
'Inquisition'. And, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Ruben (if you'll pardon the
expression), couldn't you have at least spelled 'you're' correctly for
your Subject header?
