Wait, you're responding to one _Ruben Safir_, and advising said Ruben Safir that he doesn't know shit about this case?
OK, I agree with you. This Ruben Safir person doesn't know shit about the Amadou Diallo case.

Um, reaching for your wallet and holding it in your hand is not 'playing cat and mouse with the cops'. And an unrelated neutral witness, Schrrie Elliott, testified that the four NYPD officers in street clothes opened fire without identifying themselves _or_ giving any warning at all. Diallo was completely unarmed. One notes that shooting unarmed civilians was already something of a habit for one of the officers, Kenneth Boss, who had done this once before in 1997.
The city settled the resulting wrongful death lawsuit for a record $3,000,000.
You know, wrongful death from negligence just happens to be one of my hot buttons, Ruben. Care to guess why?

He was a completely innocent victim, and _you_, sir, should be ashamed of yourself.
