'Reuters'.
That is not only my opinion, but also the facts of my life's experience and that of numerous business people in my family, past and present.
"You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts." -- Daniel Patrick Moynihan
(Not a popular view in the Breitbart/Infowars/white-power set with whom you're currently strange bedfellows, I know.)
> like Walmart? Sony? Microsoft? Pfizer? American Tobacco? Standard > Oil? Cablevision? Google?
For all of the grievous faults of all of those -- and I notice you've included a corporation founded in 1870 and dissolved in 1911 (Standard Oil Company, Inc.), out of that list only Amercan Tobacco Company (merged into Brown & Williamson and subsequently renamed to Fortune Brands) has a sinister history able to compete -- differently. And one big difference with American Tobacco Company is that it did _not_ get a decades-long reputation for defying court orders, deliberately mass-shredding evidence demanded for official proceedings, filing false affadavits under oath in court, ignoring court deadlines for production of records and answers to interrogatories, and brazen admission of all of these things on grounds that they'd delayed, obfuscated, and destroyed enough that nothing more could be done about it.
> Who? Are you completely detached from reality on this matter?
Show me where any of those infamously piratical firms -- including pre-1911 Standard Oil that you bizarrely chose to compare against -- did even 10% of that. Please. And then you can speak to me about detachment from reality, without my laughing out-loud.
(And then, show me where John D. Rockefeller is running for President of the United States. Unlike the short-fingered vulgarian in question, he'd actually have the distinction of _actually_ being extremely wealthy, and not just saying 'I think I'll add a few billion dollars to my paper net worth, today, just because in my sole view I feel valuable.')
> I'll take Trump.
Please _do_ take him. ;->
Maybe you can drop him off in Coney Island. There's a sideshow somewhere that needs him.
