Ruben, stop. Ask yourself: Do you actually think I'm really stupid?
If no, then consider whether trying to play bait and switch on me with a
simple historical question is in your interest.
Consider further whether you are ever, _ever_ likely to get anywhere
with me by throwing tantrums. I have a sister who threw tantrums all
through our preteen and teenage years together, in which I always backed
down and let her have her way as a tactical measure because I regarded
that as trivia compared to the additional artificial stress killing our
mother, who was already fighting critical hypertension, clinical
depression, and a nearly single-handed (and successful) lawsuit against
Boeing Company over their negligence that killed her husband, my and my
sister's father.
I deliberately yielded to my sisters demands in all of her screaming
fits, all the years we were together, until she moved out. Happily, Mom
survived, and made it to 2011. And guess how many tantrums I've yielded
even a single dust-covered inch to, since the day Sis moved out? Pick a
number. A really, really small number. Go small enough, you might hit
it on the nose.
Your changing the subject and pretending we were talking about the moral
statute of a deceased dictator doesn't impress me. Your all caps
doesn't impress me and is pretty pathetic. Your complete and total
failure to address the subject _seriously_ doesn't impress me.
You don't actually owe me rational discussion. But when you hand me a
tantrum when I'm trying to have such a discussion, you can rightly
expect to be dismissed as an idiot and a time-water.
