No, not according to me. According to Enrique Acevedo of Univision, who
recently decided to investigate a Washington Post story that pointed out
that visitors to Champions Bar and Grill had posted online photos onto
Tripadvisor of the $10,000 four-foot-tall portrait. He wanted to check
if the reports were true and if the painting were -still- there.
Acevedo reserved a room at Doral Resort, and very easily got cleaning
staff to usher him into Champions Bar and Grill to see it. So, yes,
actually, brazenly present and _still_ there.
And that -- buying a portrait with charity money and then using it in
business -- is not only incredibly tacky behaviour even by Trump
standards (and what kind of megalomaniac spends $10,000 on a painting of
himself, anyway?) is illegal self-dealing, a variety of tax fraud.
