NY States politics have been corrupt for decades and is controlled by by
the Democratic party's political machine for more than a century. Any
opposition, such when it comes, comes from within the Democratic
primary, which can span from moderate conservative (very few left) to
the extreme radical left.
It is no different than China.
When a powerful Democratic personality, such as Clinton or RFK comes to
NYS, they are completely safe as they have a vast machine to support them.
Even after 8 years of Rudy (which required race riots to get him
elected), and 12 years of Bloomberg (who was actually a Democrat who
used the Republican party a cheeper and easier vehicle to buy his
elections), the state and city is still more then 3:1 Democrat with huge
machines controlling elections and patronage from the smallist
judgeships to the US Senate.
