And that is followed by your equally familiar 'the one-term Secretary of
State under Obama has been the secret supreme dictator over everything
that happened during both Obama terms' line. Which is no saner, and
basically a five-year-old's model of how things work.

warfare for the next fifty years that would make 9/11 look like a walk

Again, I don't think our permission was asked. And the Russians had
actually had a military presence in Tartus and elsewhere in Syria for
_decades_ (1971 in the case of Tartus), because they're an ally of the
regime. So, I imagine your alternative would be not just carpet
bombings and invasions, but maybe nuking Moscow?

Excuse me? People are dying in our embassy in Algiers, Algeria? What

The following US presidents have all refused to recognise Jerusalem
(even west Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel: Truman, Eisenhower,
Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Obama.
That's the complete list. I think all of the _other_ presidents who've
done otherwise were correct, which... um... of course is the null set.

Syria has been a ludicrously unstable powderkeg since the Sykes-Picot
treaty of 1916 that created it. But if you want to find the guys who
