So, which way did the statute turn out? Wasn't there an NYC statute? And wasn't there some proposed state-level law to forbid municipal bag ordinances? How'd that turn out?
I've now asked you this twice in a row. It seemed reasonable to suppose that you would be able to answer the question, as you're all wound up on the subject. But instead you give me a big lecture about how what I've experienced and know doesn't matter. Maybe yes, maybe no, but is there are reason you cannot answer the question, sir? It was a pretty simple question. Do you need it asked in shorter words?
[/me Web-searches, since you seem unwilling to answer a very simple question.]
Ah, http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Suffolk-Lawmakers-Pass-5-cent-plastic-bag-fee--392669641.html suggests that NYC's 5-cent ordinance remains on the books but that implementation date has been moved back to February 2017.
http://riverheadlocal.com/2016/09/16/suffolk-closeup-suffolks-plastic-bag-law-didnt-go-far-enough-truly-effective/ says that Suffolk County, East Hampton, Southampton, and the Suffolk County villages of Southampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Sagaponack, Quogue and Patchogue also now have bag ordinances.
OK, Ruben. I guess I no longer need your help acquiring simple information you had at your fingertips but decided not to provide when I asked nicely.

So, hey! Any comments on my analyses on http://linuxmafia.com/~rick/vote.html -- especially the one about the upcoming ballot?
Consider that another chance to see whether you can answer a simple question. Qualifying answers include 'No, no comment', which also can be managed as a default. ;-> _______________________________________________ hangout mailing list hangout-at-nylxs.com http://www.nylxs.com/
