Apologies- I know this is a late response, appreciate your feedback-
Interesting possibility, if I can get motivated to now learn how to hack my Android phone / the internet browser source code.
Thought there might be a simpler solution maybe if I get another browser- I have the default Google originated browser- by the way, I have Google stuff de-activated, and the thing freezes up every time I power on as Google tries to access something...... Thanks- ---------------
Regarding those who say they don't want a smart phone- for me, I commute 3 hours round trip per day, and the smart ph. Is a simple and quick way to get internet news sites to read ( NON MAIN STREAM MEDIA ) during commuting, so I might have an idea when the world as we know it is coming to an end.... Not practical to boot up a laptop in this mode
RE: > Just FWIW > http://www.ubuntu.com/phone > > https://www.tizen.org/about > I take it this was a suggestion to load another OS on the smartpho. Could be a good possibility.... if I don't face weeks of tinkering to get it running right....
Thanks

Did you look in the HTML source for a header or similar?
Those are annoyingly common. With suitable filtering, e.g., via a Greasemonkey script or equivalent, you can strip them out. (And no, offhand I have no idea what on Android would be the right tool for that.)
