The problem here is that UPnP is not a protocol but a complex set of
application and networking layer proposals. It was pushed by Microsoft
et al, but no one wants to run this. The idea that you can plug a
server into the wall and that it will punch a hole through the firewall
on request, by having the NAT server manipulate NAT and ARP tables,
which is what we are talking about here, is an ABSURD SECURITY RISK.
There is a reason why the DMS is called a DMS.
