The flexibility CompuLab is able to offer in component choice is very impressive, as is the range of different things you can optionally including using their 'FACE modules'. And the parts quality is in _general_ high with the engineering being very sound. I could wish that they eschewed some cruddy chipsets such as the Realtek ones, but that's being picky. (Also, open source and Linux are largely an afterthought in their designs and component selection, but they're hardly alone in that.)
As you know, I absolutely agree concerning fans, and you and I have discussed that matter at length. IMO, cruddy fans are in a spirited competition with cruddy PSUs as to which can kill your system sooner.
