yeah that is a stack overflow and is how security breaches are made.
The CPU has a stack and you put A B C D onto the stack, like pancakes,
and you then retrieved data past the stack. With linux, it now has
protected memory so for the most part you can only go so far before the
OS stops you. But in principle, this is how you over run the stack.
You just peeked into a memory location that had not assigned value to it.
Do you see where the error came from?
