You are probably right. I will say however, :)
I'm mostly using Manjaro with openrc.
I did have a problem, however, with the fit/pc when I moved it to opensuse. They senty it with an older version of opensuse and I installed 12.3 which was the top of the line at the time. The graphic card has never worked right in the newer versions. The older versions it worked fine. I don't know why and since it is my server, I never really picked it apart. But there was something about the intel graphics card was problem.
Now, with the laptop, it will probably work just fine. The touch screen ones, I wonder if there are Umbuntu specific drivers for the gesters et al.
