who cares that just tells you that you wont have a problem installing OpenSuSE!
and ram is cheap these days just lookup the model on crucials site and
it will tell you what your ram options are. the reason most
manufacturers don't let you customize the ram on laptops and desktops
is they just buy it from crucial install it and charge you for the the
convenience. Dell HP and Lenovo figured out a few years ago installing
ram is so easy a trained (very heavy) squire could do it, and it
wasn't worth paying additional staff and keeping warehouses stocked
with the extra parts. further more since crucial doesn't give large
manufacturers a lower price than the retail price on their web site
there is now way they can compete economically.
