Job Description

* Rockaway, NJ
Arthur Lawrence is urgently looking for REDHAT LINUX ADMIN* *for our
client in ROCKAWAY, NJ. Kindly send me your updated word format resume

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
* Provide 24/7 support and troubleshoot mission-critical enterprise
systems
* Create and modify shell scripts to automate systems administration tasks
* Work with software developers and Quality Assurance to seamlessly
migrate applications from development to QA and production
* Work on Linux systems installation and management
* Monitor and maintain system performance
* Set up and support system backups and restores
* Ensure high system security and continuity
* Perform other projects and duties as needed
*MUST HAVE SKILLS:*
* Working experience in VMWare, RedHat KVM or Oracle VM
* Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (BASH, KSH,
Perl)
* Experience with different flavors of Linux (RHEL, Debian, and Ubuntu)
* Proficiency with Linux-based operating system, commands and utilities
* Work on Linux systems installation and management
* Set up and support system backups and restores
*DESIRED SKILLS:*
* 3+ year experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
* BS or BA in Computer Science or relative technical field
* Experience with enterprise backup systems, preferably with NetVault
software
* Experience with fundamental networking/distributed computing
environment concepts
* Good understanding of Linux Systems Security
* Experience with PCI audit and E&Y audit are preferred
* Proficiency with Linux-based operating system, commands and utilities
* Knowledge of Xymon software is a plus
* General knowledge of NAS or SAN is a plus
* Experience in Computer Room Operation is a plus
* Must have excellent communication and customer service skills,
personal initiative, and self-discipline
