I did want to answer this separately because it deserves a response. It
is appropriate that
during the Chanukah season that something like this should be posted in
a public forum
by an individual without a moral center.

FWIW, at this point we have NO EVIDENCE of a collective other than the
same ole people
that you ordinarily have around you. So it is basically just you.

No this is what I want to address. And now this is both broad and
personal .... so listen up.
The Jewish people don't have to be put on some Pyre of higher morality
because of some
misbegotten misinterpretation of both historical fact and overt hatred
of our people, and
its continued existence. This was the crux of the argument of the
Greeks about the Jews
at the time of Chanukah when they attempted exterminate us, culturally
and physically.
We can be both Jews, and make contributions to a broader humanity. It
is not inconsistent.
What is inconsistent is a radical notion that Jews should be denied
their 5 thousand year history
and family because and be sacrificed as an act of loving affection by
the likes of you.
When someone tries to kill my people, exterminate our heritage, deny our
existence and prevent
our freedom, I will point that out and even die if need be, in order to
protect my fellow Jews.
Your problem with that is a moral oversite on your part, not mine, and
it seems to be one
shared by many of the "Veteran Unix Administrators" that you
represent...even the ones in
Argentina.
We may not throw our hands around and make Pizza, but we live as men and
can actually
distinguish wrong from right.
