Oh good.

Now, who is Dyne.org?

How is it governed?

Who are you and are you in charge of dyne.org?

How are you going to account for monies collected for a fork of debian?

How is Devuan going to be organization? Who is its project leader?
What is its structure?

I'm still awaiting these most basic questions, starting with who are
YOU, and what is your relationship to Dyne who is hosting this list and
spearheading this project and soliciting money from the public?

This is so simple.

Its like, Hi, I'm Richard Stallman and I founded the FSF

or

Hi, I'm Linus Tovalds and I oversea the Linux Kernal and Here I am and
my contact information.

In my near 20 years of Free Software involvement I have NEVER seen such
secrecary and nonsense by ANYONE who was solitiing money or work for any
project.

Funny, I guess you've never heard of Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, z/OS, NEC,
NCR, for that matter OS X - Open Group certified Unix all. Not to
mention the BSD's and illmos distros.

But then, you're a troll.

No
there is no public record of this person

As soon as you show me one and a means for accountability, I'll tip my
hat to you. I'm as upset about systemd and anyone but that doesn't mean
that one should expliot that and solicit funds without accountabilty

There is not a single positng yet here identifying dyne.org, or
demonstrating any accountability to the project with is being
undertaken.

and that is probably the first thing that will get vandalized in the
next days :^) personal attacks seem to be a constant pattern when
dealing with systemd, from both factions. This is very sad and I think.

At least with debianfork we are managing to lower the exposition to
aggressive and ranting behaviours. We are doing our best to exercise our
freedom to do things and be constructive. lets keep working this way.

How much I hate moderation, this mailinglist has grown much and we are
even (honored to be) starred in a 4chan thread. I beg all the readers to
have patience for now. If this doesn't stops we will have to moderate
the traffic as an extraordinary measure (something we really don't do on
dyne.org lists, despite there were episodes in the past). I wish
Devuan's lists won't ever need moderation. However the listmasters will
decide about it as future lists will likely be hosted on Devuan's own
infrastructure.

Ruben, man, relax.

If you don't trust dyne.org and Denis Roio (when there is sufficient evidence of its existence), you can forget Devuan and find another alternative. You're a little too nervous to a creative process that has just started, right?

Are you in charge of Dyne.org and collecting money for them.

I'm not interested in 500 words of theological garbage and nonsense. I
want to know who is getting the money being donated to a 'debian fork',
who that money is going to be spent, who is going to hold you copyrights
to the work being produced and who is going to have the admistrative
keys.

As of now, the answer is Dyne.org and Dyne.org has not produced any
records to identify itself.

I am sorely upset at the secrecy and the misdirection, starting with the
initial proclamation of get "Old Unix Admins". Unix has been dead and
buried by SCO and Caldera a long time now.

BTW - you are also generating trade marks, supposedly. How and who is
handling that?

Or is accountability just too much to ask for when someone solicitates
for funds from the public?

Just so you know, publicly accusing people of running a con is a serious
thing: unless you have hard evidence, you're committing a felony in
almost every jurisdiction on Earth.

If I were you, I'd retract your accusations *RIGHT NOW* and ask for
project details in a more civilized manner.

Good for you. I want people to treat each other with respect and keep
conversations friendly. Seems we're both not getting what we want.

I'm sure the people behind all this also have other things in life to
do. Give them a few days.

Or go start your own fork with your own rules and scream at people on
your own mailing list.

Nobody is putting a gun to your head - you don't want to be here? Don't let
the door hit you on the way out. Most people here appear to be grown-ups
and free to make their own choices.

I also want to know who is who, and asked for it in a clear an polite way,
and was answered in a clear an polite way "trust us, soon we will let you
know", so I made the decision to do exactly that. That was my own choice.

Who are you (or anybody else for that manner) to drop in here and *demand*
this information? You can ask for it nicely, and if you don't like the
answer either way, then you are free to leave or stay as you see fit. can
you please quit the rabble-rousing in the meantime?

Thanks

Yeah, good way to don’t respond at all and close your ears, while screaming no sense.

I’m in charge to point out stupidity, everywhere, everytime, you know, everyone could do this, to save time for doing something useful, like forking a distro.

No - it isn't actually, it is being covered up.

I want to see the name address and contact information for "Dyne.org"

I want the identification of the corperate business or other legal
non-profit entity. I want access to your meeting notes and activities.

In order words, I want to ***KNOW*** who dyne.org IS and how they intend
to adminster a debian fork, and how they will become accountable for any
moneys donated to them for the purpose of supporting such a fork.

ALSO, no more cloak and dagger nonsense.

Use your names, so we know who we are talking to.

Ruben

This is very simple and not rocket science. The individuals who are
fronting this just need to step forward, make themselves publically
knowable. Any legal entity involved needs to be documented in PLAIN
language (English being a good one) and scrutenized.

That is not RMS, that is for sure.
