SUBJECT | Subject: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Installfest
|
It is time for an installfest. This is not a gratuitous installfest but because the changes in the Linux environment has made it time for actually rolling up sleaves and installing as many new systems as possible with as many new distros as possible.
Along with the changes that have happened over the last several mothns has been the following:
1) Maturation and Integration of Gnome with increasing integration into kernal space and web aware services 2) Ditto for KDE 3) The integration of the systemd super dupppa dameon 4) EFI and Secure Boot Realities 5) DRM integrations 6) touch Screen Desktop Designs 7) Security issues including BASH
almost every aspect of the system is going through rapid and very difficult changes. Is this the end of Linux as a Free Software platform? Lets do a bunch of installs and see.
Let us Plan one for purhaps Next Sunday?
