Okay. The "mod_rewrite\n\nToo bad I can't get it to work!" comments led me to believe you were looking for help getting mod_rewrite to work.

This leaves me with the same question: what distribution are you running? Some distributions have options for a lot of these things, but I can't tell what applies because I don't know which you're running.
