We're currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Lead in the area of
Mod_Perl/Catalyst development. This position would report to the
Director of API Engineering. Key responsibilities for this role include
but are not limited to:



* Lead Platform API team initiatives from architecture, design,
execution to deployment.
* Design and implement performant, scalable REST web services in
Perl/Catalyst but we are open to other languages/frameworks as well
on a use case basis.
* Own parts of the system and continuously working to improve them in
an agile environment.
* Use processes like git-flow, github-flow to collaboratively perform
feature-based development, code reviews and releases.




Desired Skills and Experience

* A hands-on problem solver with excellent software design and
implementation skills using TDD.
* An owner making significant contributions to code, architecture,
performance, robustness and reliability.
* Polyglot developer with demonstrated track record of learning and
introducing new technologies and strategies to solve technical

*What will help you qualify:*

* BA/BS in Computer Science, related degree, or strong comparable
experience.
* 7+ years of professional software development experience.
* 2+ years of team lead experience.
* Experience developing modern enterprise or REST applications using
languages like Perl etc.
* Knowledge of RDBMs like PostgreSQL/MySQL, data modeling, SQL tuning
and optimization.
* Familiarity with NoSQL data stores like Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcache.
* GitHub (or similar) account for us to know you better.
