Here is the video of last week's Senate Judiciary hearing on the DMCA, as
mentioned earlier. There's a thorough index on the YouTube link. There was
a lot of talk about the "whack-a-mole" problem, with the inference that
ISPs should learn to recognize infringing content. Also vague allusions to
the concept of a common public digital fingerprint database that would
allow small players to run the same kind of content id systems as the large
ones. Katherine Oyama does a pretty good job of standing up to the
onslaught.
