I've talked about this for hours with people around here and out there.
It's a cautionary tale for NYC because there already wasn't enough
affordable housing here /before/ our tech sector started taking off
again, and I believe NYC is now the third biggest on the way to becoming
the second, right after San Francisco.
My recollection is Bloomberg rezoned 40% of the city during his time as
mayor, and that means New York is in better shape to expand than San
Francisco, but gaze upon the problems out west and know that those
troubles are ours as well.
