Sorry for the delayed response and sorry because you may be out of luck. Ad= obe announced o Dr a year ago they were longer developing the shockwaves fl= ash plugin for Linux. Their reasoning was that its now an open standard and= there are several free alternatives for Linux. The problem with the statem= ent is most of them are out of date and a lot of programmers put safety unn= ecessary checks in their code which only work with the Adobe version of the= plugin because they did a copy paste from a book and set it to the latest = version so they don't have to do any QA checks.
On the bright side t= he real reason is HTML 5 has almost all of flashes commonly used functional= ity built in and linux was just their smallest market so it was the first o= ne they dropped support for and the rest will follow. Flash is quickly disa= ppearing from the web and probably won't be around much too much longer. Ad= obies new "Web IDE" actually ports flash code to bad but workable HTML 5 wh= enever possible so that tells you exactly where flash is going.
