Why can't the anything simple work any longer! The following simplest of
things simply are impossible to aquire in the 21st century:
A) Tea Kettle that whistle. Why is this 1920 technology so damn hard. I
melt a tea kettle every month now because it fails to whistle, but my
granmothers has worked for 50 years until she died, and then it outlived
her.
A Telephone: Can anyone remember when ATT gave you a damn phone and you
could drop it off a roof and it still worked. I now replace phones every
6 months. I can't even discuss Cell "Phones".
C) A toaster.... NEW. A Damn Toaster. You put sliced bread in it and it
pops out the beard as toast...safely. See 1960 Poptart comericals...
D) An AM Radio. Why is it so damn hard to find a radio with a damn
telescopic antena and reception. Every radio I have purchased in 20
years has this bullshit wire for an antenea and its crystal can't pick
up a nuclear EMP.
E) Can openers - electric or otherwise. This is a conspiracy to get rid
of cans.
F) Cork Screws.... I must have a doezen of these in the house that fail
to work.
