hi all,
here are 3 jobs i have leads for in nyc. if you are interested send me your resume in PDF. I SAID PDF!! (being raised in brooklyn, i am allowed all caps sometimes :) also send me samples of your perl code (cpan id, github are fine). if you don't have any samples, i will send you a short coding quiz you can do in about 90 minutes. in your reply put all your contact info and which jobs you are interested in. i am posting multiple leads here so i don't overwhelm the list. reply to uri AT Perlhunter.com. if you reply to this list or this address, it is a demerit on your review (also a demerit for non-pdf resumes). show me you have decent reading comprehension! :)
i already mentioned shutterstock which is always looking for good perl hackers. applying through my agency will give you several advantages including resume editing, code review, interview prep and more. the lead are on site but remote is possible for a top tier candidate.
a client is looking for a team manager for a small perl group. the company was bought out by a large firm and the web service is going to go national. they need someone with solid management and team leadership skills as well as very good perl. pay very very good, even for ny.
i have a long time client who is always on the look for the top 1% of perl hackers. are you one of them? if you are on the fence then you are not. i know a few ny.pm'ers who would qualify but they are all working. the job involves knowing gcc and its symtab guts, distributed systems, and very good perl. i know the team very well and they don't want any handholding so you must be able to work at their level. pay is top for ny and the team is sharp and fun to work with. my very first placement 8 years ago is still with this team.
i also a remote lead if you can do that and are well qualified. this client does live testing with shared screens and is very strict on passing candidates.
thanx,
uri
